What Is the Fortnite Emote Wheel Mod?

The Fortnite Emote Wheel mod brings Fortnite’s signature dance and emote system into Gorilla Tag. Instead of typing commands or opening a menu, you hold a button to pop up a radial emote wheel - the same style Fortnite players know - pick an emote with your hand, and your gorilla starts dancing in front of the lobby.

It is purely cosmetic: emotes do not change movement, speed, or gameplay. That makes it one of the most popular social mods for private lobbies, content recordings, and trolling friends after a tag.

How to Install the Fortnite Emote Wheel Mod (PC)

  1. Make sure BepInEx is installed in your Gorilla Tag folder (see our BepInEx guide if you have not done this yet).
  2. Download the mod using the button at the bottom of this page.
  3. Extract the downloaded archive. You will get a .dll plugin file.
  4. Move the .dll into your Gorilla Tag/BepInEx/plugins/ folder.
  5. Launch Gorilla Tag through Steam, join a private or modded lobby, and hold the emote binding to open the wheel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Fortnite Emote Wheel work on standalone Quest?
No. This is a PC (SteamVR) plugin that loads through BepInEx. Standalone Quest modding uses a different format, and there is no official Quest port of this emote wheel.
Can other players see my emotes?
Yes - anyone in the same modded lobby who can see your avatar will see the dance animation. Players in vanilla public lobbies should never see modded content, so keep the mod in private rooms.
The wheel does not open in-game. What is wrong?
Check that the `.dll` is directly inside `BepInEx/plugins/`, not in a subfolder, and confirm BepInEx loads in the console log when the game starts. After a Gorilla Tag update, re-check for an updated version of the mod.
